Who Are The Pigs?

Well if you’ve come to this page, I presume you have taken an interest in peering into the mind of the writer of Orwellian Pigs. If I am mistaken in this, do ten Hail Marys and seven Our Fathers and you will be forgiven

My name is Ryan Cooper, and I am a bibliophile, linguist, language-enthusiast, film-analyst and college student. Studying for double B.As in English Literature and Japanese Linguistics, hopefully a M.A in Folklore and Mythology and a very hopeful Ph.D in Theoretical Linguistics, it could be said that A) I enjoy my work and B) I love to listen rather than speak. That is precisely where OP comes in

Orwellian Pigs started out as a simple phrase I enjoyed to throw around when talking to friends about politics or debates on the human nature. It wasn’t until I came to the realization that the ideas that filled my head on topics of paranoia, surveillance, politics, literature, film, art and philosophy could be shared with people world wide, rather than with friends who don’t happen to share loves for such things, that the website was started. With a website, no longer would I have to hold my tongue, but I could actually speak my mind on the few subjects that really matter to me. In that respect, I could speak rather than listen. The problem with a blog, however, is that it takes a bit of work to find new and interesting things to make updated posts about on top of the schedule I already hold. That isn’t to say I’m one to give up on it, though. Orwellian Pigs is one of my babies–others being a science fiction novel and a comic book which I am/have respectively writing and written–and I am not giving up on her. Despite being a new little thing, I plan on taking OP to the top of my small niche, with the help of people like you. (Cue PBS trademark lawsuit).
