It has come to my attention that Chinese officials have been listening in and keeping a record of key phrases using the Skype program. I for one do not blame the Skype company for this in one bit. The company admits to “[being] open about the filtering of data by Chinese partners” (BBC News), but also “that it [is] concerned by breaches in the security of the site.” I must admit, while it is a same to hear about this from the Chinese government, I think it goes quite well with the irony of the previous post on this matter.
